you authenticate/encrypt traffic using https/ssh anyways

address range protection gives you a false sense of security
think about it: roaming laptops going into enterprise perimeter with virus infection
per-host protection is seriously necessary
maybe address range protection eases administration, but ultimately a wrong way

if you have host firewalls on every single Windows machine, why would you need organization firewalls?
